Connecting Scripture New Testament
The Connecting Scripture New Testament is a study Bible of biblical allusions and quotations by Holman Bible Publishers. It is a tremendous resource for preachers and serious Bible readers. You can purchase the New Testament through this Amazon affiliate link: Click here. I purchased a copy at the recommendation of a friend and was immediately blown away by the concept.
The Connecting Scripture New Testament is the Christian Standard Bible translation with a unique, color-coded text design to quickly identify cross references, allusions, and quotations. Old Testament allusions found in the New Testament are color-coded in green. Old Testament quotations are color-coded in blue. The Bible is also filled with study-note commentary explaining connections between the Old and New Testaments. Helpful charts, book introductions, and extremely brief articles are also included. I really appreciate the Old Testament index and New Testament index which provide a quick guide for those studying specific texts. For example, the Old Testament index begins with Genesis and provides references for each of the 408 allusions and quotations found in the New Testament.
The design is fantastic. A few pictures from the publishers website to give you an idea of layout:
