Sermons Worth Sharing

This post is the fourth in a new series: Sermons Worth Sharing. As I come across sermons that bless my soul, I’ll share them with you.

The fourth Sermon Worth Sharing was preached by Bob McCartney, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Wichita Falls, Texas.

Each day at work, I walk by a picture of Dr. McCartney. The two of us stand in a long of line of men who have been blessed to stand behind the pulpit of the First Baptist Church of Sulphur Springs, Texas.

This sermon was preached to seminary students during the chapel service at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary on September 1, 2022.

  1. I always love to hear a word from Pastor Bob. Thanks for sharing this one! The experience he describes in this sermon and his willingness to be used by God made him especially prepared to minister to my family when we were broken.
