For to us a child is born,
    to us a son is given,
    and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
    Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

I love Advent.

I love gathering up the kids in the service prior to lighting the candles.

I love their faces void of skepticism and full of joy.

I pray they see a church that loves Jesus.

I pray they are surrounded by adults that follow Jesus above all else.

I pray they grow to be men and women of deep, mature faith.
