Weekly blessing from Philippians 4:6-7,
May you not be anxious about anything but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
I know very little about cars. Well, that was probably an overstatement. I know nothing about cars. Gasoline and windshield wipers cover the expanse of my car wisdom. Thus, when I encounter a problem I only have one good option: take the car to someone else.
I would be in big trouble if car repairs rested on my shoulders. I would have no clue which tools to use. I would have no idea about symptoms and corresponding issues. If car repairs rested on my shoulder shoulders, I would be a clueless ball of nervous energy. To say the least, I would be very ineffective.
Just as I have no clue about how to repair cars – I also have no clue about how to be God. Thus, I take my car to a mechanic and I take my problems to God. God can handle my problems as they should be handled. Plus, I even get the added benefit of peace which transcends all understanding. Why would I even attempt to do things on my own?
