In January I began the spiritual discipline of daily turning a verse of 1 John into prayer form. Here’s another verse:

God of life,

You give life,

Abundant life,

And life eternal.

Jesus took on flesh and provided it for us.

The baby born in the manger,

bore the cross as our Savior.

We proclaim life in you,

And in you alone.
