The Lord is my shepherd – Psalm 23:1
Psalm 23 is intricately tied to death. I’m sure many of you have heard it recited at a funeral. I read Psalm 23 leading graveside services myself and will continue to do so. Yet, when you carefully read Psalm 23, you find that is more about life. “The Lord is my shepherd,” here and now. I love the emphasis on “my” shepherd. It speaks to devotion and commitment. The Lord is not a shepherd but my shepherd.
I love what you said about MY SHEPHERD. He has truly been MY SHEPHERD (since I was 9 yrs old) and that is a long
time. He has shepherded me through many situations in those years and is still doing so. Thank you for your post.
