I recently began a new spiritual discipline. I’ve started to daily turn a verse of Colossians into prayer form. I’m just a few days into the project. I read the verse and then quickly form a prayer. I’m sure they will be reworked and reworked. Yet, here is the first:

God of the Cosmos,

You have formed me

Called me

Sent me.

My identity is in you.

Sent to do your will.

Surround me with

Encouragers

Supporters

Fellow laborers.

May I walk side by side

With fellow servants

Faithful brothers and sisters.
