I’m a pastor by calling and vocation. Yet, I long to be a writer, poet, songwriter.

I know much about preaching.

I know little about the others.

Despite wiser judgment, here’s a little poem:

My love of thee, oh Lord, rages

breath in my lungs

steps up ladder rungs

Salvation read on sacred pages

My desire of thee, oh Lord, never dwindle

give me passion in my veins

give me righteous hunger pangs

Lead me away from that which is sinful
