Leaving the park I noticed a dog. Nothing new. I’m a dog lover and the owner of the world’s best dog. Just as this dog caught my eye … he squatted. You know what I mean. Once finished, he stood up, walked a few feet forward, and then kicked up grass and dirt in a poor attempt to cover his mess. I’m sure you’ve witnessed such doggish behavior.
I must’ve been wearing my “preacher hat” as I strolled to my Jeep. I said to myself, “Huh, I guess humans aren’t the only ones who attempt to cover up messes.”
May times we find ourselves surrounded in the messes we’ve made. Rather than honest confession, we pursue poor attempts to conceal what is in plain sight. I’m sure you’ve witnessed such human-ish behavior.
We have a better option …
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. – Hebrews 4:16
Love this God sees my messes and helps me through then all I need to do is ask and ask His forgiveness
