I keep all of my well-used, well-loved Bibles. Once a Bible is retired from daily use, I place a date on the inside cover to record when I carried it. Perhaps my kids will place them in a garage sale when I’m gone.
Today, in a moment of reflection, I picked up my Bible from my seminary days. It is tattered, bound by tape, and filled with memories.
Flipping to Psalm 100, I found a note from my sweet Katie.

I was once again reminded of God’s grace and provision. In my seminary days, He sustained me through a tumultuous season of transition. His rod and staff provided comfort. I experienced His still waters and green pastures.
And it all happened with a tender, compassionate woman by my side.
Such sweet memories. Katie’s not is so sweet and a precious keepsake.
