I Wrote a Song

I have no clue how to write a song. But I did it. Perhaps one day it will become something.

Glorious Exchange

Verse One

Take the fear which binds us

Lead us to rejoice

Take the worries which fill us

Lead us by your voice

Move us to be people of prayer

May our request be made known

Move us to fall upon our knees

May your glory in us be shown

Chorus

Peace here

Peace now

Peace in our heart

Guard us

Guide us

Peace which won’t depart

Verse Two

Fix our minds on things above

Whatever is true, noble, and right

Whatever is love and known to be good

Make our thoughts holy in your sight

Guard our hearts today

Guard our minds in your Son

Peace beyond our understanding

May our confusion be undone

Chorus

Peace here

Peace now

Peace in our heart

Guard us

Guide us

Peace which won’t depart

Bridge

Glorious exchange

Our prayer for your peace

Let our raging cease

(Lyrics based on Philippians 4:6-9)
