September 2021 Book Log

Here is a rundown of the 9 books I read in September. This brings my 2021 total to 82 books.

(I must always clarify that I read many books with which I disagree. I learn the most by reading things that do not represent my position.)

In the Name of God: The Colliding Lives, Legends, and Legacies of J. Frank Norris and George W. Truett by OS Hawkins

John Wesley’s Teachings (Volume 3): Pastoral Theology by Thomas Oden

Beliefs Important to Baptist by William Pinson, Rosalie Beck, Ebbie Smith, and James Semple

In Search of the New Testament Church: The Baptist Story by C. Douglas Weaver

Preaching Christ from Ecclesiastes: Foundation for Expository Sermons by Sidney Greidanus

Bryson’s Dictionary of Troublesome Words: A Writer’s Guide to Getting it Right by Bill Bryson

Shakespeare: The World as Stage by Bill Bryson

Holy Luck: Poems of the Kingdom by Eugene Peterson
