Holy People of Sulphur Springs –
We’ve been talking about gospel partnership as we study Philippians. Yesterday I had lunch with Brant Small, a gospel partner.
Brant and Melissa Small have been married 8 years and are the parents of Gabriel (5), Mackenzie (3) and Eden (1). Brant currently serves as pastor of Union Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs but will move to El Paso, Texas this summer to plant Sun City Church.
El Paso is an ethnically diverse, cultural beautiful place and the home to nearly 1 million people. That makes it one of the largest cities in the state of Texas. Brant says, “Eight out of every ten people you meet in El Paso would be considered lost and our hearts burn to see that number change. We have asked God to allow us to play a part in seeing the city reached with the gospel of Jesus Christ.”
First Baptist Sulphur Springs will serve as the sending church for Sun City Church. We look forward to supporting the Small family and Sun City through prayer, finances, and mission trips.
Sun City Church Vision
We exist to glorify God by being a community of Jesus followers who demonstrate the love of God and declare the gospel of Jesus Christ to our neighbors and the nations.
You’ll be hearing more and more about Sun City down the road. Already excited to be a part of this effort? Feel free to reach out to me.
How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” – Romans 10:14-15
This is super Cool!
