What comes to mind when you read the word “missionary”? Take a few moments and allow images to come to mind. If you are like most people you conjured up images of someone unlike you. You conjured up images of someone in a place unlike your place. Most people think of missionaries as obscure people working in a remote and primitive village. We often hold them in high regard because they do something we would never do. Why is that? Answer this question: Can you be a Christian apart from being a missionary?

Jesus instructed his disciples to take the gospel message to Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. What does that mean for you as a modern day disciple? I don’t know where God has called you to take the gospel but he has called you to take it somewhere. Pray for the strength to be obedient to God’s call.
