This thought came to me while preparing for a good night’s sleep:

Jesus said, “Take up your cross” (Luke 9:23).

Paul said, “I have been crucified with Christ” (Galatians 2:20).

I often say, “I hope I preach a good sermon.”

Or …

Jesus said, “Take up your cross” (Luke 9:23).

Paul said, “I have been crucified with Christ” (Galatians 2:20).

I often say, “Lord, get me out of this mess.”

Or …

Jesus said, “Take up your cross” (Luke 9:23).

Paul said, “I have been crucified with Christ” (Galatians 2:20).

I often say, “I deserve better.”

May I sound more like Jesus. May I sound more like Paul.
