Jesus was born, wrapped in cloths, and placed in a manger.

Jesus was first worshiped by shepherds who had been watching their flocks at night, followed, by Simeon, and then Anna, and then John the Baptist, and then hundreds more, soon thousands more.

Jesus called a group of fishermen to put down their nets and follow him.

Jesus said things like “Blessed are you who are poor for yours is the kingdom of God” and “Love your enemies and do good to those who hate you.”

Jesus allowed a sinful woman to break an alabaster of perfume and anoint his feet. As the crowd around him grumbled, Jesus told this woman, “Your sins are forgiven.”

Jesus calmed a storm as his disciples cowered in fear.

Jesus took five loaves and two fish and fed thousands of people.

Jesus, while giving to so many, said, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”

Jesus taught his disciples to pray, “Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come.”

Jesus told parables like that one about the lost son, who after hitting rock bottom, was embraced by his father.

Jesus told the tax collector Zacchaeus “Today, salvation has come to this house.”

Jesus entered Jerusalem on the back of donkey has he approached his predicted death.

Jesus was betrayed with a kiss.

Jesus, in his greatest hour, was denied by the disciple who claimed he would follow him anywhere – even unto death.

Jesus was mocked and beaten.

Jesus was led to be crucified.

Jesus cried out from the cross, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”

Jesus, after the sun stopped shinning, said “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.”

Jesus, after being buried in a tomb for three days, rose from the grave.

In his resurrection came our salvation.

Thus, we celebrate Christmas.

  1. Beautiful presentation! You just keep on impressing me. Even an old man like me can see true impressions from the heart of a dedicated leader.
